Raised in Hollywood, Florida, Brad Kirn has called Tallahassee home since 1985. He is a self-taught artist who has surrounded himself with all types of art for most of his life. He enjoys a rewarding career in Architecture and also plays guitar, piano, bass guitar, enjoys wood working, making pottery, and tying his own flies for fly fishing. He has always enjoyed painting and sketching abstracts as a means to express himself, and his recent paintings are a continuation of that lifelong theme. He uses acrylic paint, chalk, ink, oils, paper, and pencil layering to achieve pieces that have a strong sense of motion and balance, utilizing vibrant colors, and stimulating geometric shapes. The resulting pieces are visually contemplative, colorful, bold, unique, and fun.
“Inspiration comes in many forms if we are open to it, and mine comes from the compositions of shapes, colors, sounds, and smells that surround us all daily. Whether it’s acrylic paints, mixed mediums, pencils, inks, digital art, photography, or music, I am always exploring different ways to express my interpretations of the things that inspire me.”
All pieces come with a letter of authenticity. Many pieces come with progress photographs.

A letter from Brad’s family;
For the past 30 years, I have had a front row seat to all of my hubby's creative endeavors...woodworking, guitar playing, music making, fly tying, drawing, designing....and I have always been so amazed at the incredible natural talent he exudes with each. Creativity is in his soul. He finds the things that bring him peace and joy, and he immerses himself in the process. If, in the end, he creates a worthwhile piece of art or a music video, then that's just a bonus. The end product is never the goal. It is always about the process for him - the music, the mood, the setting, the people. Definitely the people.
Three years ago, change happened. He suffered a serious concussion, left his job after 32 years, got COVID at the onset of the virus, and had heart surgery as a result.
Over these last three years, his health has recovered and he landed an incredible job. Finding peace, he also found a new desire to express himself through his paintings. As a result, he has created a collection of over 80 incredible works of art. They have been stacked 5-10 deep, leaning against the walls of his guitar room, the garage, the living room. Hanging randomly on the walls of our daughter's bedrooms, the bathroom walls, and placed atop dressers just because there was no room. When we would ask him what he was going to do with them, he would say crazy things like, "ah...paint over them," or "put them in the burn pile". Our girls have taken as many as they can and have put dibs on others for when they have their "first home."
As with everything Brad does...he always looks for ways to improve. He started with paint pouring, then moved to collage work, until he found his niche. Along the way he has gotten great support and feedback from friends and family. The girls and I encouraged him to create a website and it was always, "Who would buy this?" Well, somebody did. He sold his first piece to friends who proudly hung it in their home. It gave him the confidence to give us the go ahead to set up his website. So, we did. We are SO incredibly proud of him and super excited to share with you.
We anticipate some bumps along the way since website design is not our area of expertise. We are super proud of how it turned out. Please let us know if you have any questions about the art for sale.
Much Love,
Faith, Jillian , and Eden
